“Dalyokaya Lyubov” by Irina Vidova and Oleg Molchan

The year 2025 marks a significant milestone for Maestro, as he would have turned 60. Following the premiere of the song “Devochka-zima,” Irina Vidova, together with Ray Records, is releasing another new track — the composition “Dalyokaya lyubov,” written twenty years ago as well.

It was an incredible period when the creative duo of Irina Vidova and Oleg Molchan became a family. They dedicated the launch of their album Lyubov skazala da to their wedding: https://olegmolchan.com/discography/lyubov-skazala-da-2006/.

“I’m surprised I didn’t record this song in 2005,” says Irina Vidova. “Perhaps the lyrics — ‘Distant love (meaning ‘dalyokaya lyubov’ in Russian) is like deception, distant love is like the fifth ocean’ — didn’t quite fit into an album celebrating joyful love. Maybe we already had enough songs in rotation and our material was plentiful.

“‘Dalyokaya lyubov’ is an undeniable hit. It’s impossible to stop listening to this song — you find yourself playing it on repeat, again and again. Molchan simply amazes with his eternally youthful energy! He is one of the few composers capable of creating dance music with a captivating melody. The song evokes feelings of joy, delight, and unwavering faith in love. It inspires hope that everything is still ahead and that everything will fall into place. This new composition is truly inspiring. Even after his passing, Oleg continues to gift me with his spirit. The release coincided unexpectedly with my birthday — I hadn’t planned it that way. Clearly, we have a director not only here on Earth but also in heaven! My distant love, my sweetheart — he is with me not only on the cover but forever in my heart.”

The song “Dalyokaya lyubov” is now available for download and streaming on all digital platforms.
