The collective was founded in 2024 in Kaliningrad by Alexander Vereshko, former drummer of the renowned band Komitet Okhrany Tepla (lit. Committee for Heat Protection). Today, the band consists of 13 musicians, ranging in age from 15 to 60.

“Some had never even heard of Komitet before, but everyone wants to play and carry on the tradition,” says band leader Alexander Vereshko.

Their repertoire includes both arrangements of Komitet Okhrany Tepla compositions and original songs co-written with Kaliningrad poet Larisa Sadukha. She is also the lyricist for their new song “Lentyay” (“The Idler”).
