Dlina Dykhaniya to Perform Songs Inspired by Masterpieces of the Silver Age
On February 12, the band Dlina Dykhaniya will perform a concert in Moscow. The program, titled “Putyom zerna” (lit. “The Way of the Grain”), will feature compositions set to the timeless verses of Russia’s Silver Age poets.
The concert will showcase musical interpretations of works by Alexander Blok, Nikolai Gumilyov, Andrei Bely, Vladislav Khodasevich, Zinaida Gippius, Maximilian Voloshin, Ivan Rukavishnikov, and Igor Severyanin. The program draws its title from Khodasevich’s celebrated poem of the same name, the lines of which serve as the central metaphor for the entire performance.
Dlina Dykhaniya is a unique musical project characterized by its “art-positive” style. The band was founded and continues to be led by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Augustin Grishin. According to the artists, these texts by famous poets — written over a century ago — have gained a new and profound relevance today. The music of Dlina Dykhaniya invites listeners to rediscover these classic works, unveiling their timeless wisdom through a contemporary lens.
The band is currently working with Ray Records to finalize their upcoming album, Putyom zerna, which is slated for release in the near future.
