Alexey Kruglov and Igor Goldenberg
Alexey Kruglov and Igor Goldenberg are a duet of two brilliant musicians and famous Moscow performers, a duet of two different in their sound, but equally beautiful and mysterious musical instruments — the saxophone and the organ.
Alexey Kruglov is a famous Russian saxophonist, composer, stage director, actor, and leader of Krugly Band. The artist has a long and successful creative career and, not surprisingly, he has participated and won in the most prestigious all-Russian and international festivals and competitions.
Igor Goldenberg is one of the leading Russian organists, composer, laureate of international competitions, and member of the Union of Composers of Russia. After graduating from the Moscow Conservatory, he completed his musical education at the Hochschule für Musik in Switzerland. The musician actively tours and collaborates with well-known ensembles as a composer and performer (the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra, the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra, the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, and others).
The joint work of Alexey and Igor began seven years ago quite by accident. One of the saxophonists was unable to take the stage at the Lutheran Cathedral, and Igor asked Alexey to play as a substitute. The musicians immediately found a common language both on stage and in life. After their first concert together, it became clear that they should not stop there. This is how the duo of Alexey Kruglov and Igor Goldenberg was formed.
