Nick Kolpakov
Nikolai Kolpakov is a young accordion virtuoso, composer, performer, laureate of the President of the Russian Federation’s Prize, as well as of all-Russian and international music competitions.
Nikolai was born in the city of Saratov into the legendary gypsy dynasty of the Kolpakovs. From the age of 10, he studied playing the accordion at a music school, after which he entered the College of Arts, where he became a laureate of the President of the Russian Federation’s Prize. After graduating from college, the musician was selected for the course of the Honored Artist of Russia Boris Anatolyevich Aron.
The musician’s repertoire is wide and extensive — from Russian folk music and classical music to jazz and electronica.
