Bazhena and Lyudmila Sokolova Team Up for New Duet “Lyubil”
A brand-new duet by Bazhena and Lyudmila Sokolova introduces their latest single, “Lyubil” (He Loved). Released by the music publishing company Ray Records, the track has been available on all digital streaming platforms since September 25.
The duet “Lyubil” tells the story of a classic love triangle from the perspective of two women, each convinced she was his only one. As their two conflicting realities collide, a storm of emotions unfolds. The song raises an eternal, perhaps unanswerable question: which of them did he truly love more?
The lyrics were penned by songwriter Inna Rakhmanina, a multiple laureate of major Russian music festivals, including Song of the Year, Golden Gramophone, and Chanson of the Year. The music was composed by singer and songwriter Artur Best, known for his standout appearances on the hit TV shows The Voice and Main Stage. The track was produced at the Grigory Leps Production Center, with Alexey Bazanovich helming the project.
Bazhena is a singer, host, and soloist of the vocal project Vnutri. She is the Grand Prix winner of the 2023 New Voices International Vocal Competition and a laureate of the 2023 Jazz Birds Festival. In 2024, she received the Person of the Year Award from the international Prime One magazine in the “Breakthrough of the Year” category.
Lyudmila Sokolova is a singer and actress, laureate of prestigious music awards, and frequent performer on large-scale music shows.
