Peter Dmitriev
Peter Dmitriev is a celebrated pianist, prominent musician, and Honored Artist of Russia.
A child prodigy, Dmitriev began performing with orchestras at just eight years old, tackling concertos by Bach, Haydn, and Beethoven. He graduated from the Central Music School at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and later from the Conservatory itself.
Dmitriev has garnered top honors at international piano competitions. His career reached a major milestone in 1995 when he won the gold medal and first prize at the 6th International Piano Competition in Tokyo. This victory launched his international career and made Dmitriev’s name known far beyond Russia. The musician has performed in the world’s most prestigious concert halls across Europe and Asia, collaborating with leading orchestras and conductors.
Peter Dmitriev frequently participates in masterclasses and educational projects, sharing his experience with young performers. He is also the artistic director of several music festivals, including Classics and Jazz and Russkoye Pole (Russian Field).
In recent years, the musician has focused heavily on studio work. His numerous recordings — more than 30 CDs, vinyl records, and digital releases — have been published by music labels such as Melodiya, Ray Records, Misteriya Zvuka, SONY/BMG, Fontec, NHK, and others.
